How dental implants works at Brightside
A dental implant is a small titanium post that fuses with the jawbone and acts as a new root. Once healed, it supports a custom crown, a bridge or even a full set of teeth. Unlike a traditional bridge, it does not require shaving down the healthy teeth next to the gap.
Dr. Daniel Reyes has placed more than 1,900 implants. He plans each one on a 3D cone beam scan so the post sits in the safest, strongest bone, and he uses a printed surgical guide for precision. Most patients return to work the next day.

Scan and plan
A 3D scan maps bone, nerves and sinuses so we can plan the ideal position.
Place the post
The implant goes in through a small opening, often with no stitches.
Heal
Bone bonds to the implant over a few months. You wear a temporary if the gap is visible.
Attach the crown
A custom crown is shaded to match and fixed to the implant.
Keep it healthy
Normal brushing, flossing and six-month cleanings keep it going for decades.

The placement is done under local anesthetic, and most patients describe it as easier than a tooth extraction. Expect a few days of mild soreness that over-the-counter pain relievers usually handle.
Age is rarely the limit. Overall health and bone quality matter more, and we have placed implants for patients in their late 80s.
A bone graft can often rebuild the area. We will show you on your 3D scan whether grafting is needed.
